SMASHING PUMPKINS DVD To Play In Theatres

The Pulse of Radio reports that the upcoming SMASHING PUMPKINS 20th anniversary documentary, "If It All Goes Wrong", will get a one-night screening in theatres on November 6 before arriving on DVD five days later on November 11. According to Entertainment Weekly, 40 movie theatres around the country will show the 105-minute film, although a list of cities and theatres has yet to be revealed. The documentary explores the reactivation of the group and its two multiple-night residencies in the summer of 2007 at the Orange Peel in Asheville, North Carolina and the Fillmore in San Francisco. The two-disc DVD edition will also include a complete concert shot in San Francisco.

"If It All Goes Wrong" also contains never-before-seen interviews with band members, fans, journalists and others, plus a featurette about the band's fans, and an interview with legendary WHO guitarist Pete Townshend.

The PUMPKINS recently debuted their new single, called "G.L.O.W.", which will appear on the upcoming Guitar Hero: World Tour video game. It's the first song ever written specifically for Guitar Hero.

The band will begin a 20th anniversary tour on October 26 in Mountain View, California. The set lists in cities where they're playing multiple dates will fall into two categories — "Black Sunshine" and "White Crosses" — with songs from one list not part of the other.
